Of course, the size cake and amount of tiers would be decided by the amount of guests attending the reception. Design, style, flavor, color and icing choice would be next. Choose a marble cake to fit preferences of both parties. Another option would be for each tier to have a different flavor cake. This would assure you that all guests would be happy.

This will build your trust in their ability to bake you the best wedding cake and the exact replica of what you have always pictured your wedding cake to be. A good idea would also be to have the wedding cake maker, bake a small replica for you to taste. For one reason, you can taste and see their work as well as have an excuse to eat some cake! Old tradition would be to freeze the top layer of the wedding cake to enjoy again on your first anniversary. Today, more people suggest to freeze the top layer and eat it when you return from your honeymoon. This way you are assured of it freshness and it just tastes a whole lot better then it would in a year. In fact, it gives you an excuse to buy a fresh cake on your first wedding anniversary!
