Wedding Transportation – For Whom?
Home » Wedding Transportation »
When considering transportation for your wedding day, here are some guidelines to use. By this time, you should have decided if you want to rent a limousine for the day or only part of it. Other than a limousine, you have the choice of several other fashionable cars. At first, you may think it’s just the bride and groom that need to be transported to the ceremony and the reception. Although this may be the case, don’t forget other family members and your wedding party. Of course, the wedding party may be able to care for their own needs but it’s courteous to make sure that they have a way to the wedding and reception.
Wedding guests traditionally pay their own way so you need not worry about them. Of course, with all things there are extenuating circumstances. For instance, if those guests are out of state family, you may wish to figure out some form of transportation for them. The bride and groom are already asking for some to spend money to travel to the wedding location as support. This makes it easier for them to attend your special day and to do so stress free.
Do you want to hire a limo driver and limousine for the entire day or only part of it? If you have decided this well in advance, the search for the perfect limo will be much easier. Some have hired a transportation company for the first half of the day. This saves cash but leaves the bride and groom finding transportation for the remainder of the day. This is a way of cutting costs as well.
As the bride and groom, you may wish to share your first few minutes as husband and wife, alone. The bride may want to take her bridesmaids with her in the limousine to the ceremony. Once the ceremony is completed, the bridesmaids can have an alternate way of being transported to the reception. This way the bride and groom can have some alone time on the way to the reception.
If your budget allows you to care for the bride, groom, parents and wedding party, then by all means this is the way to go. Perhaps you could have one car drive the wedding party while the parents and siblings drive in a car behind. The groom and groomsmen may want some more guy time before their best friend gets hitched. The guys can ride in a limo trailing the rest of the cars. This way the girls can give some last minute words of advice and support to the bride. Meanwhile, the guys can be giving the groom some last minute guy time.
Again, the traditional way to ride to your wedding is by limousine. There are several alternatives to this way of transportation. Decide on which suits you best and then proceed with these tips in mind. Whatever you do, make sure the family and wedding party all have a way to get to the ceremony on time! This should all be planned out way in advance so as to avoid any transportation casualties.
