We can tell you what should be done when handling transportation in the traditional way. Some couples getting ready for marriage don’t have the necessary money. There are several options when choosing transportation to the wedding ceremony and reception. Traditionally, the bride and her father are known to ride to the ceremony together; if possible, in a limousine. As a side tip, you may want to know that silver and black tend to be less expensive to rent. Many prefer the idea of a horse-drawn carriage, which may mess up your hair, but at the same time is extremely romantic. A motorcycle for the bride and the groom can show the couple’s wild side, and that you are ready for a lifetime of fun and excitement!
Again, money may not be left in the budget to have this luxury. Usually, if a limo driver has to wait for the couple, the cost will rise. If this is a problem, consider some of the other options. Perhaps you have a friend who owns a luxury, vintage, or sports car. Consider asking your friend to be your chauffeur for the day. Ask for his or her services in exchange for a small token of your appreciation. Very few couples have wonderful friends who may offer to do this as a wedding gift. While someone is driving you to the wedding and reception, a friend or family member could be driving your car to both places. This has great advantages, because there are no time restraints ors hassle for the happy couple. Doing this would alleviate the problem of having someone wait for you, and will save tons of money. As a newly married couple, you may be ready for some peace, quiet and alone time. This means you have your own getaway car ready! That friend that transported your own car should make sure he or she has a ride home.
On the other hand, if a limousine is the way you wish to travel on your special day, there are details to consider. For instance, decide on cost efficient transportation. Think about whether you plan on taking the entire wedding party with you, or just the bride and groom. Then choose your style vehicle, and make sure you choose the exact car for your day. This assures that you know what you are getting for your money, and you won’t be disappointed. Arrange to meet the driver, sign the contract, and provide a of list of emergency contact numbers, addresses and names. The last thing you need to happen on your wedding day is the driver getting lost!
All the transportation details should be figured out within a week or two before the wedding. By then everything should be finalized. If a limousine is not within the budget of the couple, the family and friends may opt to drive together to the ceremony and reception. Choose a limousine or an alternative mode of transportation, but just make sure you get there on time!
