Centerpieces Bring Tables to Life
Home » Wedding Decorations »
We all know that the main centerpiece of a reception is the wedding cake. Other then that, ideas should be gathered for a centerpiece per table. Most reception halls have white linen tablecloths. This can appear rather boring so we want the tables to dance with decorations. One of the decorations can be the use of centerpieces to bring the tables to life. A centerpiece is something that you can put in the middle of each table to make them appear beautiful and match the décor of the day.
What is your style, mood, theme or colors of your wedding? Use these to your advantage in deciding on a centerpiece for each table. What you choose as a centerpiece will contribute to the mood you want to set at your reception. For instance, sequence or confetti may give the impression of partying and festivities. Floating candles or a dim light will give a romantic and elegant mood to your reception hall.
First, you need to find out who decorates the reception hall. The one you are renting the hall from may already decorate the entire place. If you give ideas as to your expectations for decorating and centerpieces, maybe your ideas can be incorporated into the actual décor of the hall. Be creative in coming up with unique ideas to make the appearance of the hall satisfy your desires and express your personality.
Balloons, small lights, candles, confetti, sequence and flowers are all good decorating ideas. Some have used the bridesmaid’s flowers as centerpieces. Using the flowers in several ways will save a lot of money. You definitely won’t have to buy separate centerpieces. Some have also used seasonal ideas. For instance, if you are having a fall wedding, you can use vibrant colored leaves as part of the centerpieces. Perhaps you can fill baskets up with fall leaves and cinnamon sticks. If you have favors to give to each guest, use these as a part of the decoration. As a centerpiece, put each favor in a basket or in a beautiful pattern to enhance the table settings.
Instead of one large wedding cake for all the guests, some have chosen to bake mini cakes for each table. Use each of the cakes as a centerpiece for each table. An added bonus would be that your guests can satisfy their various taste buds. Make each table identical with the exact same centerpiece or individualize each table thus expressing your individuality. Set the right mood with the perfect centerpieces.
